Vintage Rare HTF Nippon "Morimura" Hand Painted Small Bowl
Beautiful Hand Painted Pink Flowers with handles small bowl
History:
The Nippon porcelain pieces with the hand-painted mark featuring an “M” enclosed in a wreath are associated with the Morimura Brothers, who were importers and distributors of Japanese ceramics. This particular mark was used during the period from 1911 to 1921. popular marks used til 1921 consisted of “Noritake”, the symbol of a factory, and the previous “M in wreath” marks. Newer Noritake collections also made use of the words “Hand Painted” and “Nippon”. In 1921, Japan implemented import regulations requiring the word “Japan” to be used on porcelain products. Therefore, pieces with the word “Nippon” are likely to be dated before 1921 and are expected to have a higher Noritake china worth than newer Noritake.
