These vintage genuine amethyst earrings are pear/tear drop shaped and set in 14K gold. Stones are intact and not loose.
The posts are stamped CID 14K, see pic. From the web about this mark: This is the hallmark for Jewelry Maker Clyde Duneier, Inc. of New York. This mark was first trademarked in 1991 and was cancelled by 1997. A famous jewelry making firm in New York since 1910, this mark was created for their line of jewelry expressly created for high-end department stores.
These beautiful earrings are preowned and in excellent condition, only worn a few times. They were originally purchased from Von Maur circa 1996.
